Quick Hits: Watain, Nada Surf, Exmortus, Bob Wayne, Amanda Palmer

• On Monday, January 17, Swedish black metal overlords Watain took home the "Best Hard Rock" award for their "Lawless Darkness" full-length at Sweden's annual Grammis ceremony (the Swedish equivalent to the US Grammy Awards).
• From their covers album "If I Had A Hi-Fi," Nada Surf filmed a video for the Depeche Mode song 'Enjoy the Silence' during their 2010 European Summer tour. Directed by Jan-Ole Gerster, the video was shot in Nuremberg, Munich and Dresden.
• Los Angeles-based Exmortus is heading into the studio in February to record their new album "Beyond the Fall of Time," which is the long awaited follow up to 2008's neo classical death metal masterpiece "In Hatred's Flame." Exmortus are previewing a demo track called "Destroy" which can be heard via the official Heavy Artillery Bandcamp page.
• Bob Wayne has partnered with Century Media Records to release his latest work 'Outlaw Carnie' and fans can hear the new album now in it's entirety.
