  • World Party has canceled their upcoming dates at SXSW and at NYC's Joe's Pub on March 22 and March 23 due to leader Karl Wallinger's recent illness. The band plans to resume activity in May, followed by an extensive US tour this summer. World Party will also release a 4 or 5 CD collection later this year, packed with unreleased studio gems and live recordings via Wallinger's own label, Seaview Records. This collection will be preceded by the launch of an all-new World Party song.
  • In anticipation of the release of their upcoming new full-length, "Time Is Up," Denver thrashers Havok have unveiled part II of their in-studio video footage. Brought to you by Metal Injection, the video takes you behind the scenes of the recording process with commentary from the members.

  • Proto-punk legends the New York Dolls are premiering the video for "Fool For You Baby," the first single off their new album "Dancing Backward in High Heels," out now on 429 Records. Directed by Jeremy Johnstone, the video features original band members David Johansen and Sylvain Sylvain.
  • Domino's newest super group signing featuring Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip), John Coxon (Spring Heel Jack), Charles Hayward (This Heat & Camberwell Now), and Pat Thomas (played with Derek Bailey and Tony Oxley) is About Group. They've got a brand new video for their first single, "You're No Good" from their album "Start and Complete" out on April 26th.
