- You Animals are giving away an EP featuring alternate recordings of tracks from their forthcoming debut album, due for release this Spring via This Is Fake DIY Records.
- Following the success of their Todd Rundgren sampling mini-hit "If You Want It," TV Girl has dropped their second single "On Land," a pulsing blur of nearly recognizable samples (is that tracy chapman in there?) complemented by a killer wordless vocal hook.
- Obscura has posted the first preview track, "Septuagint," from their highly-anticipated new album "Omnivium" via the band's MySpace and Facebook pages. "Omnivium," the follow-up to the band's acclaimed "Cosmogenesis" album, will see its North American release on March 29th on CD, double LP, and digitally.
- German label Exile On Mainstream has announced the signing of Danish metallers Rising. The band will enter the studio to record the forthcoming debut album with producer Jacob Reichert Nielsen at the end of March, and will release Rising's debut album in Europe and North America in late October 2011.
- Portland, Oregon-based Asian outfit The Slants have released a music video for their sophomore full-length album, "Pageantry"'s first single, "How The Wicked Live."
