Rooney, who remain road warriors in support of their most recent release, "Eureka," announce a February headlining tour that sees them taking out Eisley and The Chapin Sisters (through February 14) as support. The tour kicks off February 2nd in Albuquerque, NM and wraps up in Salt Lake City on February 26th. Starting earlier this week on Wednesday at 9am PST, fans can buy tickets at www.rooneytix.com and each purchase will be accompanied by a a free, exclusive, digital only, Christmas EP of three cover songs: "Merry Christmas (War is Over)," "Last Christmas" and "Little Saint Nick."
Rooney was recently the musical guest on Lopez Tonight, and performed their single "I Can't Get Enough" on air and also played the 2nd single, "Not In My House" for LopezTonight.com. Both songs are off Rooney's new album, "Eureka," which the band released on their own California Dreamin' Records this past summer. The official video for "I Can't Get Enough" can be seen at vh1.com. Recently while out on tour, Rooney recorded some acoustic versions of their songs "Not In My House" and "Holdin' On" on their tour bus, which were exclusively featured on Baeble Music and PopMatters. The guys also found time to squeeze in an Alloy Stream Out Loud session. Rooney is offering the track "I Don't Wanna Lose You" as a free download.
"Eureka" is the follow-up to Rooney's two critically acclaimed albums - "Rooney" and "Calling The World" - and sees the band showcasing their most inventive and original material to date. Produced and crafted entirely by the band, "Eureka" was developed through years of non-stop touring with artists like Kings of Leon, Weezer, The Strokes, Travis, Polyphonic Spree and Granddaddy, and two highly praised records, Rooney's irresistible songs have impacted modern rock & alternative radio stations and infiltrated video outlets such as MTV, VH1, Fuse and MTV2. Along the way, Rooney has built a fiercely loyal fan base and performed on THE OC, The Today Show, The Late Show with David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Late Night With Conan O'Brien.
