Sabbath Assembly Release "We Give Our Lives," Announce Shows

Sabbath Assembly are unveiling "We Give Our Lives," a track off their upcoming release Restored To One (:AJNA: Records, June 22nd). The album is a contemporary interpretation of hymns performed by The Process Church of The Final Judgment, a cult that had a global presence in the '60s and '70s and was known for bowing down to both Christ and Satan through channeling deep awareness and love. Process Church members were also notorious for roaming the streets in black robes with German Shepherds, casting a particularly mysterious yet bewitching light on their activities and beliefs.

As a result of the Process Church's intensely creative side, personalities such as Marianne Faithful, Mick Jagger, and George Clinton participated in Process publications and Funkadelic even reproduced Process material on two of their albums. Interest in the Church was recently revived when Feral House released the book LOVE SEX FEAR DEATH: The Inside Story of The Process Church of the Final Judgment.

Restored To One features Jex Thoth (Jex Thoth), Dave Nuss (No-Neck Blues Band), and producer Randall Dunn (Earth, Sun O))), Boris). Sabbath Assembly's rePROCESSing of the Process hymns results in a haunting mix of rock, psychedelia, and gospel with Jex's ghostly female lead vocals.

The band has two upcoming live dates scheduled for New York. They will be performing at Santos Party House on June 1st for the official release party in honor of MNWKA and Feral House's Church of the Final Judgment t-shirt capsule collection. Sabbath Assembly will also play an official album release party at Glasslands on June 15th. At both shows the band will hit the stage at 10pm sharp.
