School Of Seven Bells Ready Album For Pre-Order, Announce NYC Shows

Acclaimed experimental pop group School of Seven Bells announces details for the preorder of their upcoming album "Disconnect from Desire," which arrives July 13th on Vagrant/Ghostly International. Three options will be offered to US and Canadian fans for preorder. The first, limited to 3,000 pieces at $17 each, includes a double LP with gatefold layout and swirled vinyl. The vinyl LP is accompanied by a digital download card of the album. The second features a limited edition UK CD box set with deluxe packaging and a set of exclusive School of Seven Bells tarot cards. It will be limited to 250 pieces at $15 each. This box set will only be available in the US via this preorder. The third option is a standard US CD version, which includes a download of the new album for $10. All options include an instant free download of the song "Dust Devil."

In support of the album release, the three-piece will play two shows at Mercury Lounge in their hometown of New York City, on June 9th and 10th.

The album, produced by band member Benjamin Curtis and mixed by Jack Joseph Puig, was recorded in the band's home studio and mixed in Los Angeles at Ocean Way Recording.

School of Seven Bells, composed of Benjamin Curtis (formerly of Secret Machines) and identical twins Alejandra and Claudia Deheza, released their debut album "Alpinisms" in 2008. Paste Magazine called it "a psychedelic excursion anchored by beautiful, winding melodies and entrancing synth backdrops as bright and buoyant as a wall of clouds." They have also been featured in the pages of Rolling Stone, Spin, Details, the NME and others. The band has since toured with Blonde Redhead and Bat For Lashes, among others.

Tour dates for School of Seven Bells, more to be announced:

  • June 9 - Mercury Lounge - New York, NY
