Senses Fail Announce Spring Headline Tour, New Guitarist

Senses Fail announces the launch of a new headline tour this spring. The PMA Tour presented by etnies featuring Senses Fail with special guests The Ghost Inside*, Man Overboard, and Transit begins March 10 in Pennsylvania and hits secondary markets all across the US before wrapping up on April 10 in Rhode Island. The New Jersey-based group is touring in support of their fourth full-length, "The Fire" (Vagrant). Pre-sale tickets are on sale at http://sensesfail.ducatking.com. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 12pm (noon) local time on Thursday, January 27.

The band also announces the departure of original guitarist Garrett Zablocki. Singer Buddy Nielsen comments, "Unfortunately Garrett has decided to leave Senses Fail after almost ten years. We are sad to see him go but wish him luck in whatever he plans to do in the future. We will of course continue on as a band touring and making music. We are excited to say that Matt Smith from Strike Anywhere will be stepping up to fill Garrett's role and we're very excited to start working on new music as soon as possible."

Garrett Zablocki issued the following statement, "After nearly a decade of being a founder and member of Senses Fail, I've decided leave the band to attend college full time. I will still be playing music on the side, but I will no longer be doing it full time. I never thought playing guitar and writing songs in my basement would bring us to stages around the world, five albums recorded and experiences that I wouldn't have had otherwise. The stories I can tell over a beer with a friend are endless because of what we accomplished through the years. I wish Buddy, Dan (Trapp) and Jason (Black) the best of luck as they continue Senses Fail on into the future."

Upon the release of "The Fire," All Music stated, "Senses Fail once again prove themselves to be one of the most consistent heavy-hitters in the post-hardcore world," while Revolver chimed in with, "The Fire showcases an immense growth in both the band's songwriting and arrangements, proving that these scene stalwarts are not about to rest on their laurels." Outburn gave the disc a 9/10 and said, "If you want to hear excellence, then look no further than these guys."

Senses Fail formed in 2001 in Ridgewood, New Jersey, and released their debut EP, "From the Depths of Dreams," in 2002; next came 2004's "Let It Enfold You"-their first full-length-followed by "Still Searching," which debuted at #15 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Then the band's next release, "Life Is Not A Waiting Room," came in 2008, marking the entrance of bassist Jason Black (formerly with Hot Water Music). To date, Senses Fail have performed multiple worldwide tours and their catalog sales have reached over 900,000.
