Shout Out Louds Offer Free Fontän Rework Download Of "Walls"

Swedish indie-rock quintet Shout Out Louds are offering for free download the Fontän Rework of their acclaimed single "Walls." As a remix of a song that Esquire Magazine recently named "Perfect Pop Song of the Month" for March, the Rework by Fontän, an acclaimed Swedish duo, is an electronic and progressive take on the track that compliments and builds on the exuberance of the original.

With the band's new album, "Work," in stores and online now, the band is about to start a tour that begins May 2 at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC, a performance NPR's "All Songs Considered" will be broadcasting live, and will culminate with a performance at the Glasshouse in Pomona, CA, on May 24. All dates for the upcoming North American tour will be supported by New York City's Freelance Whales.

"Work" is the band's third album and second for Merge. Recently regarded by Rolling Stone Magazine as an album that "brilliantly works a classic indie look: airy, sleek, gingerly heroic guitar zone-outs about a love-starved dude's battle against emotional torpor," Work was recorded in Seattle and produced by Phil Ek (The Shins, Fleet Foxes, Band of Horses).

After a year of touring behind their acclaimed second record, "Our Ill Wills," the band went their separate ways -- singer/main songwriter Adam Olenius to Melbourne, Australia, keyboard/vocalist Bebban Stenborg to Los Angeles, drummer Eric Edman, bassist Ted Malmros and guitarist Carl von Arbin back to Stockholm -- and took a much needed break. Olenius wrote many of the new songs in Australia in a tiny room with a little synthesizer, an acoustic guitar and Garageband on his laptop. He passed them on to the others who listened closely from their corners of the world, questioning and challenging him until the songs that make up Work had all passed the test.

Shout Out Louds will be bringing their engaging live show to the following North American venues throughout May with Freelance Whales.
