Spinto Band Head Out On Spring Tour With Whigs, Tally Hall

After seven self-released albums, and the worldwide release of their album Nice and Nicely Done, The Spinto Band is in the prime vein of musical prowess. In the wake of completing their eighth album, Moonwink, the band will be setting out on their Spring Tour, with The Whigs and Tally Hall. They will be heading down the East Coast towards SXSW, where they are set to play several day parties and shows.

Their latest recordings, produced by Dave Trumfio and mixed by Tchad Blake, forge The Spinto Band's ability to interlace rich, textured guitars, unconventional orchestration and multiple-part vocal harmonies into exciting new pockets of indie-pop. It's quirky, energetic, radiant, and aptly engaging. Utilizing their skewed approach to song-craft that brings to mind a contemporary coagulum of, Bacharach, Beatles, Berlin, and Bowie their songs can send its listeners careening into the heights of lysergic bliss or provide the catchiest vibes to rattle your bones to.

Over the past few years The Spinto Band has appeared in the pages of The Guardian, The Sunday Times, Spin, Magnet, Entertainment Weekly and NME as well as on television programs like Later With Jools Holand, and Le Culture Club. They have also been featured on radio programs like, NPR's Morning Edition and All Songs Considered, and performed live on the air for BBC's Zane Lowe in England, The World Café Live in the United States and even a Black Session in France. In addition, The Spinto Band has performed with such acts as Arctic Monkeys, Mystery Jets, The Strokes, Maximo Park, Art Brut, We Are Scientists, and Dr. Dog and have been billed on festivals such as England's Reading/Leeds, Spain's Summer Case and Japan's Fuji Rock.
