Previously unreleased, although a wildly popular bootleg, the October 20, 1972 concert at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium (Bowie's first US Radio performance), was broadcasted by the now-defunct Los Angeles station KMET. The recording will be released digitally, as a limited edition CD and a double Vinyl LP package complete with photo from the show and a re-print of the Los Angeles time review of the show. Bowie says of the show, "I can tell that I'm totally into being Ziggy by this stage of our touring. It's no longer an act; I am him." If you listen closely enough you can actual here history being made and a star (in the commercial as well as the artistic sense) being born.
