SXSW Quick Hits: Yorkshire & North East, MetalSucks, Lunch With The Germans, Paper Garden Records

  • Yorkshire & North East brings English breakfast to SXSW on Saturday, March 19 @ The British Embassy / Latitude 30 featuring Pulled Apart By Horses, Little Comets, Dinosaur Pile-Up, Viva City, & David Thomas Broughton
  • MetalSucks, NARM and will be at SXSW on Friday, March 18th. Kvelertak, Havok, Red Fang, Wormot and Meek is Murder will be performing, and Full Blown Chaos' Ray Mazzola will be MCing the event. In conjunction with Metal Insider, the event will take place on the patio stage at Headhunters, at 720 Red River, from 2-6pm. Admission is free and the showcase is 18+.
  • Wunderbar will once again be hosting Lunch with the Germans at SXSW Thursday, March 17th, from 12-4 pm at Parkside. The event-luncheon will be hosted by Initiative Musik in co-operation with Reeperbahnfestival (Hamburg's music and arts festival), C/O Pop (a Cologne-based organization furthering contemporary pop culture), Jazzahead! (a Bremen-based organization representing international jazz with a European focus), and Berlin Music Commission (comprised of German music, businesses, and brands) - as well as 20 Berlin-based music companies and an additional 25 from throughout Germany. Come network while enjoying the highlights of modern German cuisine by Hayk Seirig and Phillip Patzig (Bar 25/Berlin), and the sounds of Tobias Thomas (C/O Pop / Kompakt), Schlachthofbronx (Man Recordings), Brandt Brauer Frick (!K7 / Doppelschall) and FM Belfast (Morr Music).
