429 Records via a newly formed partnership with Bug Music, in conjunction with the new co-ventured Kings Of Leon record label imprint, has announced the release of The Features' "Some Kind Of Salvation" in North America. The much-anticipated follow-up to the band's critically lauded debut, "Exhibit A" is finally available now as an exclusive on iTunes and in stores and all digital outlets on July 28th. Critically lauded throughout the UK, The Features recently performed at the Bonnaroo Music Festival. "Some Kind of Salvation" was produced by Grammy-Award winning Jacquire King (Modest Mouse, Kings Of Leon, Tom Waits, Sea Wolf) and Brian Carter at his Paradox Production facility in Murfreesboro, TN. The band features Matthew Pelham (guitar, lead vocals), Roger Dabbs (bass guitar), Mark Bond (keyboards) and Rollum Haas (drums).
The first single to radio in early July is the striking track "Lions." The band is currently putting the finishing touches on the "Lions" video. The 429 Release also includes a bonus track, "Now You Know."
"429 Records brings the major label know how with the hands on approach of an independent," says John Rudolph, CEO of Bug Music. "We have known Steve Vining and Strauss Zelnick for years and their track record of success and creative integrity are the key reasons for our choice of partners."
"We're very pleased to be working with such a gifted and experienced team. Savoy and Bug are both leaders in our respective independent spaces and the focus and energy we can provide a group like The Features will insure the success of the Kings first signing to the new label," noted Savoy President, Steve Vining.
