The Megaphonic Thrift Debut New Single "Candy Sin," Prepare For US Dates

Bergen, Norway-based four-piece The Megaphonic Thrift (members of Casiokids, The Low Frequency and Stereo 21) has released the first single, "Candy Sin," off their forthcoming US debut, "Decay Decoy," to be released March 8th on Sonic Unyon.

Influenced by My Bloody Valentine, Krautrock, and Dinosaur Jr. among others, the band's aptly-named debut stemmed from literal decay, as all of their equipment was destroyed in a fire on the eve of the recording process. Overcoming this initial setback, the band has developed a reputation for their incredibly energetic and LOUD live shows, having toured the UK with A Place To Bury Strangers, as well as performing at several festivals around the US and Europe, including their successful SXSW debut, their native Norway's by:Larm, the UK's The Great Escape and Standon Calling, Popkomm and Eurosonic. The band is excited to return to SXSW this year behind their US debut, stopping in NYC for several showcases on the way.
