Twin Tigers Head Out On East Coast Tour Dates Ahead Of Debut Album Release

Athens, Georgia. Home of the Twin Tigers and the local restaurant, Grit. Whereas this little establishment might look innocent it is here that guitarist and vocalist Matthew Rain and bassist Aimee Morris met, began dating and fell in love. In the dust of their previous band projects the Twin Tigers were born. Joined by drummer Doug Crump and guitarist Forrest Hall after a rash of previous bandmates the permanent equation was cemented. The band went onto release the "Curious Faces Violent Future" EP in February 2008.

The band quickly started building a solid fanbase throughout the southeast and played their very first SXSW. Their loud, chilling and excitable sound made them a perfect fit on bills paired with such bands as: Les Savy Fav, Deerhunter, Dead Confederate, Black Lips, Dungen, Woods and A Place to Bury Strangers.

Upon returning from SXSW the band began cutting their first album. Recorded over the course of a month by Joel Hatstat in Athen's legendary Bakery Studio (Maserati, Dark Meat, Jucifer...), Twin Tigers' debut album "Gray Waves" is the story of a love lost---but not forgotten. Signed to by Brooklyn-based Old Flame Records, "Gray Waves" will be released on March 2, 2010.
