Verse To Release Findlay Brown's "Love Will Find You"

After an amazing year of touring across the US and Europe winning fans, playing clubs, arenas and stadiums with the likes of Duffy, Taylor Swift and the Au Revoir Simone, Findlay Brown is ready to treat the world to his gorgeous new album, "Love Will Find You." Originally slated for a Summer 2009 US self-release, "Love Will Find You" and Brown found a loving home with VERVE, who will be releasing the album January 12, 2010.

Former bare-knuckle boxer, from Yorkshire, England, Findlay Brown was heralded by critics in the UK when his debut album, "Separated By The Sea," was released in the on Peacefrog Records in 2007. The release garnered much praise.

"Love Will Find You" came together while Brown was stuck on his sister's couch nursing a broken leg (after having been run over by a cab driver!). "I'd already started going back and listening to a lot of records I'd grown up on, like Elvis Presley, soul music, doo wop, Phil Spector, The Righteous Brothers and the like. I had an idea about making a modern record influenced by the songwriting of the late 50's and early 60's. I just started writing, trying to work out what made a universally great song, like ‘Stand By Me'. These new songs are the first part of that process."

Following successful tours with Duffy in the UK Fall 2008 and Au Revoir Simone in the US this past June, Brown will be back for a very special stripped down acoustic show in NYC on October 21st at Bowery Ballroom with Fanfarlo, Midnight Juggernauts, The Postelles, TigerCity, and Freelance Whales, as well as October 25th at Littlefield in Brooklyn with Youth Group.

Live:

  • October 21st @ The Bowery with Fanfarlo
  • October 25th @ Littlefield with Youth Group
