Wolf & Cub Announce New Record Out On Last Gang Records

Last Gang Records has announced the release of Australian quartet Wolf & Cub's second full-length record, titled "Science & Sorcery." The album will be released in North America on October 26, 2010, on Last Gang Records, with a European release to follow.

Chris Taylor, Last Gang Chairman and CEO, personally signed Wolf & Cub. Taylor is responsible for discovering and signing leading alternative/dance artists, Metric, Death From Above 1979, MSTRKRFT and Crystal Castles. "The photos looked like my children, 'Death From Above 1979,' and they sounded a bit like Jane's Addiction. It feels like home and I'm glad they're with us," says Taylor on signing Wolf & Cub.

"Science & Sorcery" is a continuation in the ever-evolving sound of Wolf & Cub, a sound that has been classified as everything from alternative metalcore to psychedelic funk. Guitarist and vocalist Joel Byrne captures the whole experience when he says, "We never attempted to alter the outcome, 'our sound' or the songs that make up the album, but there was a conscience effort to change the procedure that created the outcome. I'll leave it up to others to decide if the sound has gone anywhere else, because I don't know where it was before. It's still Wolf & Cub, just another piece of the puzzle."

Wolf & Cub will be heading stateside in September for a slew of dates supporting the release of "Science & Sorcery."
