WXPN Celebrates 20th Anniversary Of The XPN Morning Show With Michaela Majoun

WXPN has announced that the station will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of The XPN Morning Show with Michaela Majoun in March. To commemorate the milestone anniversary, XPN will host several events throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. Majoun will host The XPN Morning Road Show, Michaela and Friends Concert and the Arts Crawl Trolley Tour.

For 20 years, Majoun has been one of the few female voices to be broadcast over Philadelphia's morning airwaves as the host of the The XPN Morning Show. Having assumed the titles of "Best Morning Host" and "Best DJ" by Philadelphia Magazine, Majoun has remained devoted to playing the best in rock, blues, roots and folk music and celebrating the arts in Philadelphia.

"Over the past 20 years, Michaela has hosted a truly original, music-oriented morning program. Off the air she is a committed ambassador to the arts and an active local philanthropist," said Roger LaMay, WXPN General Manager. "We are honored to have Michaela in our XPN family and thrilled to commemorate her career with our listeners."

Beginning March 1, Michaela will hit the road for a week of remote radio broadcasts. Monday through Friday, the The XPN Morning Show will be broadcast live from various locations throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. The XPN Morning Road Show will visit the Gallery at Market East, Comcast Center, Pop Shop in Haddonfield and the Trolley Car Diner in Germantown.

XPN will host the Michaela and Friends Concert, a members-only event featuring live performances by Rhett Miller and Francis Dunnery at the Blockley Pourhouse on Friday, March 12. The Blockley Pourhouse is located at 3801 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104, (215) 222-1234.

The Friday morning Arts Crawl feature on The XPN Morning Show will come to life through an afternoon tour of great arts and cultural exhibits in Philadelphia. The trolley tour will take place on March 14 from 1-5 p.m. Tour stops and exhibits include:

• 2424 Studio
• The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts: Philagrafika 2010- The Graphic Unconscious
• The Philadelphia Museum of Art's Perelman Building: Marcel Wanders- Daydreams
• Several Mural Arts projects
