WXPN Spreads Holiday Cheer With The "12 Days Of XPN Local Music"

WXPN is kicking off its 12 Days of XPN Local Music program on Tuesday, December 8th. Each weekday from December 8th-23rd, XPN will showcase a different original holiday song from one of 12 local artists. Listeners can tune in to hear the song presented on air weekday afternoons at 1:30 p.m. during the XPN Local Pick of the Day feature. In addition, each song will be featured as a free download exclusively through the XPN website and will be available on the XPN All About the Music Blog.

The 12 Days of XPN Local Music schedule is as follows:

  • Tuesday, December 8: Ben Arnold "Reindeer Games"
  • Wednesday, December 9: The Swimmers "The Christmas Sound"
  • Thursday, December 10: Huffamoose "Hannukuh and Christmas Hand In Hand"
  • Friday, December 11: Trevor Gordon Hall "New Year's Resolution"
  • Monday, December 14: Madi Diaz "Silent Tonight"
  • Tuesday, December 15: Ken Rosenberg "Snowdance"

"XPN is all about exposing lesser-known artists and rare recordings," said Helen Leicht, assistant program director, midday and XPN Local host. "This is a fun and festive way to put a spotlight on some of our great local talent and give listeners 12 original holiday tunes to add to their playlists."
